Samuel Gordon is an Energy $mart Communities Coordinator for the Central New York Region (Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Southern Herkimer Counties) at the Central New York Regional Planning and Development Board, an independent contractor to NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research and Development Authority), and coordinator for the Central New York Energy Challenge.
Sam’s focus is to make saving energy fun and easy, and help Central New Yorkers save energy and money in their homes.
As an Energy $mart Communities Coordinator, Sam’s focus is to educate people about reducing their energy use, as well as how to access programs through NYSERDA. To date, Sam has given over 100 presentations to anyone that will listen – including businesses, congregations, schools and other groups.
Sam provides materials and information about the Energy Challenge, including answering your energy questions and helping you organize Energy Challenge campaigns. He gives FREE workshops and presentations, writes newsletter articles, provides pictures and generally does anything that you will need around the Energy Challenge.
